Kaleb's Job

Kaleb has a job working for our neighbor helping them with their dogs (they raise Standard Poodles). He has worked for them for several years now. He goes up everyday around noon and feeds and waters the dogs, lets them out, whatever they need him to do. They had a new litter of puppies a few weeks ago and they like the puppies to be around people a lot, so that they are used to people when they sell them; so Kaleb brought a couple down to the house the other afternoon.

These puppies are approx. 4 weeks old and have at least tripled in size since birth.
Kaleb says both these puppies will be the color Red when they are full grown.

This puppy was very content to just lay there

This puppy was NOT content at all!!!

                                                           Paizley LOVED the puppies!!

And they really liked her as well!

Jell-O Magic Mousse

We just tried this recipe out and really liked it, so I thought I would share it! It's so easy to make and it looks really pretty! Hope you give it a try and enjoy it!!!

3 cups boiling water
2 (3 oz) packages gelatin, any flavor
1 (16 oz) container Whipped Topping

In a large bowl, dissolve the gelatin in the boiling water (do this with a whisk...makes the gelatin dissolve really fast). Add whipped topping and stir until everything is melted together. Pour into a serving dish. Chill for at least 8 hours before serving (I made it the day before I wanted it).

Note:
-Use any flavor gelatin you want! If you can't decide, think about what color you want it to be!
-Forgot to allow time for your whipped topping to thaw? Not a problem. Go ahead and put the frozen whipped topping in the hot, gelatin water. Stir with a whisk until it's melted! It'll work just fine. How convenient!!
-Pour into a large serving dish, or individual dessert cups for a really nice presentation.
-As you can see in the picture, this dessert is layered; it will do it that on it's own, so there's nothing you have to do to make it look like that.

Taste Of Home

Kelley is a part of the Honors Program at Garrett College, and to be a part of that, the members have to choose one cultural event per semester to attend and write an esay about. So, for this semester, she chose to go to the Taste of Home Cooking Show!!! We ordered tickets (and actually got one free!!) and were so excited! Kelley asked a girl that she had met and become friends with from school to go with us and we were going to have a great time! After everything was finalized, mom realized that it was also on the same day that Dad had a business meeting in Harrisburg, PA. She's not required to go with him, but she usually does and that way they get some time away. This time was pretty important that someone go with him to help drive home, since he wouldn't get out of the meeting until at least 4 (which rarely happens!), then drive about 4 hours home and get up the next morning to leave the house at 5am to do his Elkins route (which doesn't usually get him home before 9pm, and is most of the time closer to 10pm). So mom decided to go with Dad, and I asked one of my friends to come. It was girl's night out yesterday and we had a really great time!!!!!!

We're off to Morgantown, WV!
