{Riley Reunion}

Saturday, August 11, 2012 the Riley Reunion was hosted by Doug & Terry Riley,

at their Pleasant Valley home.  This was our last family reunion of the season.

and Doug has the most fun of all!!!

Between May and August, Kaleb rode 200+ miles on his bike this year!!!!

{A Day At The Airport}

On Saturday, August 11th, Mom, Dad, Me (Kaleb), and Katrina went up to the Garrett County Airport for its 50th anniversary celebration. They had many different planes and a few helicopters on display.

We had a lot of fun, except that because we were on the top of a mountain

the wind was blowing and it got pretty cold.

This is an AT-6 Texan, a WWII fighter. They had three of them here.

A club called CAMS (no idea what that stands for) did an R/C demo with planes and helicopters.

This is a Eurocopter Dauphin owned and operated by the State Police.

They didn't stay long because they got called to an accident.

There was also a classic car show with many different kinds of old and new cars and trucks.

This was one of our favorites.

This truck's name was Casper!

The people who owned these planes were giving rides but when we asked, they said it was $299 per ride! Needless to say none of us took a plane ride that day.

People were taking off and landing the whole time we were there.

This is a Robinson R22. They used it for a candy drop, where they flew by and dumped bags of candy out!

The pilot (background) was teasing me about my Air Force hat when I got in the Army helicopter.

They didn't stick around long.

By the end of the afternoon everybody started flying away!
