{Winter Boots}

Did you hear about the
teacher who was helping one of her reception class pupils put on his boots?

He asked for help and she could see why.
Even with her pulling and him pushing, the little boots still didn't want to
go on.

By the time they got the second boot on, she had worked up a sweat.

She almost cried when the little boy said, 'Teacher, they're on the wrong
feet.'

She looked, and sure enough, they were.

It wasn't any easier pulling the boots off than it was putting them on.

She managed to keep her cool as, together, they worked to get
the boots back on, this time on the correct feet.

He then announced, 'These aren't my boots.'

She bit her tongue, rather than get right in his face and scream, 'Why
didn't you say so? ' like she wanted to.

Once again she struggled to help him pull the ill-fitting boots off his
little feet.

No sooner had they got the boots off when he said, 'They're my brother's
boots. My Mum made me wear 'em.'

Now she didn't know if she should laugh or cry.
But she mustered up what grace and courage she had left to wrestle the
boots on his feet again.

Helping him into his coat, she asked, 'Now, where are your mittens?'

He said, 'I stuffed 'em in the toes of my boots.'

{Chistmas 2012 Part 2}

Saturday, December 29, 2012 was the big Wagner family Christmas. Aunt Bonnie and Uncle Bob, Uncle Paul and his girls, Ashley and Ava, Khara, Tim and their kids were all able to make it. It was a great day together and we are so thankful for family!

Uncle Paul wanted to go sled riding, so most of us went to a friends house and spent about two hours in the snow. It was the perfect day for it. It snowed pretty much the whole time, but it wasn't windy at all.

Ava was such a trooper! This was the first time she had really been in the snow, and she was just having the time of her life! She walked up and down the hill as many times as she could, and never one time complained about being tired or cold! She would have stayed out there all day!

Making snow angels

She asked "How long are you going to keep this snow in the neighborhood?"

Up the hill again! Ava said she liked sledding up the hill best!

Getting a ride from Pappy

After a while, Ava was going down on her own sled by herself!

Present Time! Khara had the fabulous idea of everyone just getting gift cards instead of other presents this year. It worked out really well and everyone got some shopping money to their favorite place!
Just what I always wanted!

Timmy's favorite store - Toys R Us!

Ava got a coloring book with her "credit card"

Looks like Abbey will be shopping at Toys R Us too!

After they were done with presents, Kaleb, Katrina, Abbey, Timmy and Ava went back outside to play in the snow some more!
