{Vacation 2013}

Finally!!
Vacation time again!!!
We left Friday afternoon, May 24th for a week in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
We had great plans to do a LOT of nothing!!
Still, we weren't completely lazy the whole week, but it was so nice to relax; everyone needed it!
Saturday was cold and rainy, so we definitely took it easy.
Sunday we went to church and took a walk down the mountain in the afternoon.
Monday was Memorial Day, so we took advantage of some good sales and went shopping!

We went to visit Mom's Aunt Margaret and Uncle Glenn Tuesday afternoon.
We had a such a wonderful visit with them!

Kelley gave mom a manicure

On Wednesday, Kaleb, Katrina, Dad and Kelley tried out the zip-line at the Resort.
It lasted about 45 minutes and is basically flying down the mountain on a rope for 750 feet!
They really loved it!

Thursday we went bowling!
Dad, of course, won both games, but it was still super fun!!
Most of us hadn't been bowling since we were in Texas for Kent's boot camp graduation (6 years ago.....you remember that, Kent??), so we felt like we had a good excuse for our poor scores!!

Kaleb and Katrina both got new bikes!!
They rode around the resort some, but it's on the side of a mountain, so down hill is great, but up hill is next to impossible!!! There is a great park nearby, though, that is perfect for riding bikes, so they really enjoyed that.
(The bike next to Kaleb, is Dad's new bike......................He wishes!!!!! haha)

It was a fabulous week, but we packed up early Friday morning and headed to Baltimore for Kaitlyn's Graduation rehearsal that afternoon and ceremony on Saturday
(more on that coming as soon as we get the pictures from the photographer)!!!!

Glad you guys had fun. First, yeah I remember bowling 6 years ago on Lackland AFB…that seems like forever ago. Second, it is NOT impossible to ride around and up the hills on Massenutten! I did it over and over and over again! There used to be some nice difficult trails on the back side of the ski slopes, i don't know if they were still there, but they had 3 trails (green - red - black) Green is flat, red starts up the mountain a little, and black goes up to the top and back down. None of them are that long, I think the black one is only 2 miles or so. But they are fun, next time you should check those out! If Dad gets one of those motorcycles, then I am going to have to bring mine home and go for a ride! :P

Lackland does seem like forever!!! Okay, your the exception for riding up those hills!!! Kaleb hasn't quite built up to that yet! Those trails are still there, though, so maybe next time he'll do some of those. I guess we can get a bike for dad next father's day!!! He wants a goldwing!!!
