{The week she's been dreaming of}

After 3 & 1/2 years of school, the moments Kelley has been dreaming of had finally arrived!

ALLEGANY COLLEGE OF MARYLAND
FALL GRADUATION
FRIDAY, DECEMBER 19, 2014

It is a longstanding tradition for nursing students to decorate the top of their
graduation caps. (Kelley's is the one to the right, with the red RN on it.)

Kelley's nursing instructor, Diane Friend

Emily was the first of three students to give a speech at the graduation.
It was a tremendous speech, and she did a great job!

This was most of the students in Kelley's class.

The well-deserved diploma!
Kelley worked so hard, and earned a 4.0 GPA -
Summa Cum Laude!

We're ALL so proud of her!

THE PINNING CEREMONY
Saturday, December 20, 2014

Each student's lamp was lit from a candle lit by the instructors.

Once all the students' lamps were lit, the instructors' candle was blown out, leaving only the "new nurses" lamps lit.  That concluded the ceremony.

Kelley was thrilled to have Mr. & Mrs. Helmick attend the pinning ceremony.

It was a very meaningful, beautiful ceremony.

Kelley has one last test to study for - her board exam.  She has been hired
for a position at our local hospital, starting mid January.
